At the Shavitz Law Group, P.A., we believe that client service and communication are two keys that distinguish us from many other law firms you may have contacted or worked with in the past.
We normally offer a fee initial consultation about your specific situation in order to evaluate your potential claims, at no cost to you. During your initial consultation, which can be by done by telephone and in person, you’ll speak with one of our experienced team members who will help gather important information that’s needed for us to determine whether we can help work to resolve your problem.
More specifically, we regularly seek to understand the core facts underlying any potential claims you have may have from any job you’ve worked at within the past three (3) years, including:
- your dates of employment, position held, essential job duties, rate of pay, regular days and hours worked, average gross weekly wages, who you reported you, and the names and positions of other employees who will have knowledge of your duties & hours worked;
- the documents that relate to your claims including pay stubs, time sheets, schedules, W-2 forms, employee handbook, etc.; and
- based upon the initial information you’ve provided to us, how any claims may be calculated, subject to verification through witnesses and other evidence.
Although there’s no obligation to you from an initial consultation, after our investigation and document review is complete, if we mutually agree to proceed with filing a claim on your behalf, we will work diligently to fight for your rights.
