Hal Anderson has been practicing law in Florida for over a decade and joined the Shavitz Law Group, P.A. in 2006, bringing with him extensive experience in complex litigation and appeals. Mr. Anderson is a graduate of the University of Florida College of Law, where Mr. Anderson argued as a member of the Justice Campbell Thornall Moot Court Team and also served as Associate Articles Editor, Florida Law Review in 1995, who upon graduation spent two years working as a Judicial Law Clerk in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District Court of Florida. Additionally, before joining the Shavitz Law Group, P.A., Mr. Anderson worked for nine (9) years handling litigation and appeals for various institutional and individual clients in a mid-sized law firm.

Mr. Anderson is part of the firm’s division dedicated to litigating large collective actions and class actions. These cases serve workers nationwide in pursuing their rights in the workplace and in seeking unpaid compensation. Mr. Anderson works to assist employees with overtime and minimum wage violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), benefit problems arising under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), and discrimination and civil rights matters. Mr. Anderson also serves as one of the firm’s appellate specialists while similarly counseling clients on employment contracts, severance agreements, and related litigation.
